What is Shopmobility Enniskillen? We are a free service providing help to people with limited mobility to get around Enniskillen more easily. We provide mobility scooters and wheelchairs to all members of the public with limited or impaired mobility. Who can use Shopmobility Enniskillen? Shopmobility is open to all adults who feel they need a little assistance getting around. Daily Hire is FREE and Long-Term Hire is also available for a small fee. Limited mobility could be as a result of a broken limb, a hip replacement, pregnancy or even a sports injury and you can't face the long walk around the town centre. You don't have to be a disabled person or blue badge holder to use the scheme. Maybe you are taking an elderly relative out for the day. Using a scooter can make things easier for both of you! Perhaps you are just out of hospital and would like a scooter to get around instead of a wheelchair. Even if you have your own scooter, you can use ours and avoid the hassle of having to bring yours into the town or having to transport it in the car. So come in and register as a member. It's free and quick to sign up and then you're free to use the service anytime. When is the service available? Our Main Office is open in Enniskillen Bus Depot, Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and our new Erneside Service Desk is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm. How can I use Shopmobility Enniskillen? You need to sign up as a Member to use our service. Membership is quick and easy to complete and takes 5 minutes. We do need to see some photographic ID and proof of address, such as a driving licence/passport and a utility bill. We also need two passport sized photos for your membership card. A member of staff will give you training on how to use the scooter for the first time and when you feel happy to go it alone, away you go. What equipment is available? We have 9 Scooters and 4 Wheelchairs available to take out on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. We even have an electric wheelchair available, as well as 2 child wheelchairs. Daily hire is FREE and is available to all our members. Long-Term hire is also available for a small charge. |
