Who can use Shopmobility Enniskillen?
Shopmobility Enniskillen is open to people of all ages who feel that getting around is difficult for them. You do not have to be a disabled person or blue badge holder to use the scheme.
Maybe you don’t always use a scooter but because of your age or an accident you find it more difficult to walk and get around. Limited mobility may be the result of a broken limb, a hip replacement, pregnancy or a sports injury.Are you taking a elderly relative or friend out for the day ? - Taking a scooter out to go around the shops makes things easier.
Perhaps you are just out of hospital and would like a scooter to get around instead of a wheelchair. Even if you have your own scooter, you can use ours and avoid the hassle of having to bring yours into town or having to transport it in a car.
When is the service available? Our office will be open on Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 4pm and on -Saturdays from 9.30am to 1pm.
Do you need to register with Shopmobility Enniskillen?
Yes. Becoming a member is easy. Before you use the Shopmobility service for the first time you will need to fill in a membership form.
Shopmobility Enniskillen is free of charge for life long membership. To become a member just bring along photographic ID (passport/bus pass) and address ID (utility bill) the first time you call in with us.
We also require two passport sized photos for your membership card, but if you are unable to bring these a member of staff will take your photo in the office. A driving licence would cover your photographic and address ID. A member of staff will give you training on how to use the scooter for the first time and when you are confident away you go.
You are then registered as a Shopmobility member and will receive a membership card. Once you are a member you can use the service as little or as often as you like. We service our scooters regularly and the scooters are fully charged before giving them out.
