Health & Safety Card - Dooneen




• Health and Safety Card – The Construction Skills Register Health and Safety Card is compulsory for anyone working in the construction industry. All vital Health and Safety elements are covered. There is a second opportunity to obtain the Card on Tuesday 14 September 2010. For further information on the above course or to book a place at the Centre please phone 028 8954 1841.





Health Promoting




The Oak Healthy Living Centre, Roslea, invite parents to take part on an 18 week Health Promoting Homes project. It is open to parents with children four years and under from Roslea, Newtownbutler, Donagh, Brookeborough, Lisnaskea and surrounding areas. The course will be held in the Wildfowl Centre in Lisnaskea on a Tuesday or Thursday morning from 10am-12noon. Creche and transport are provided if required. The course is divided into three modules, each lasting six weeks on personal developement, diet and nutrition, including Cook It! practical cookery course and a physical activity module which includes fitness, gym induction, pilates and first aid. This course is free and gifts, such as beauty voucher, fruit hamper and pedometer are given to participants on completion of each module. Transport can be arranged if required. Active Families




The Active Families programme is a new 12 week course, one night per week, to get active in a fun way with the whole family. The course is open to 11-16 year olds, who must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, guardian. The focus is on getting healthier and more physically active in a fun way, which will have great benefits for you and your family. There are incentives included in the course with leisure centre passes, grow your own garden kits and a trip at the end of the programme to Todd's Leap. Dooneen Guitar Lessons




John Cleary is returning to Dooneen Community Education Centre on Thursday 9th September to teach his guitar class.John takes beginners from 8-9pm and the more advnaced pupils from 9-10pm. John is a registered guitar tutor. New learners welcome.





Child Protection Awareness Training Workshop




Child Protection Awareness 2day Training Workshop. Taking place on 23rd & 30th September 2010, from 10am - 4.30pm. This workshop deals with raising the awareness of those involved in working with or providing services to children (up to age 18). It is based on the principles of good practice and covers residential and field trips in addition to provision of services and activities.





Food Hygiene - Dooneen
