ENNISKILLEN YOUTHBANK!  APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING NOW OPEN! 27 January 2010, ENNISKILLEN YOUTHBANK! APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING NOW OPEN!

Enniskillen YouthBank is a grant making committee run by young people for young people. It is made up of a group of 16 – 25 year olds from the Fermanagh area. Enniskillen YouthBank, which is now in it’s second year, is in the process of inviting applications from other young people in the area to fund youth led projects.

The UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) has issued a second Call for Proposals under its £4.5 million Research Fund. It is seeking Expressions of Interest from universities or other institutions eligible to hold Research Council awards in the following four topic areas: Energy Security and International Governance. Transforming the UK Energy System: Public Values, Attitudes and Acceptability. Industrial Energy Use from a Bottom-Up Perspective. Investment and Business Models for Energy Services Provision in Households.

Launch of the 2010/11 Funding Round for the Belfast Development and Outreach Programme 27 January 2010, Launch of the 2010/11 Funding Round for the Belfast Development and Outreach Programme

The Culture and Arts Development and Outreach initiative aims to build capacity and boost cultural activity in communities with weak cultural infrastructure. A wide range of partnership-based cultural projects will be eligible for support. Ideas include those to develop arts skills in sections of the community, those to record histories or explore aspects of local heritage, those involving performances which will attract a local audience, or a combination of these or other ideas. The total annual budget available for the initiative is £165,000. The minimum Development and Outreach grant available is £2,000 and the maximum is approximately £20,000.

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) has announced two new Calls for Proposals. The current Calls are as follows: Impacts of external conflict and local politics on UK communities. This project aims to explore the ways that conflict and politics outside of the UK impact on communities and individuals in the UK. It will explore experiences, trends, impacts and local responses. Experiences of Globalisation. This project aims to examine the differential experiences of globalisation at the individual, household and community levels in the UK. It will explore who and how people are experiencing the inter-connectedness globalisation brings, who and how people are taking advantage of new opportunities and what new challenges people are facing as a result of globalisation.

Call for applications The South West Peace III Partnership has been established to deliver the EU PEACE III Programme in the cluster area comprising of the four District Council areas of Cookstown, Fermanagh, Magherafelt and Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council from October 2008- December 2010.
