U3As are an international network. There are more than 12 in Northern Ireland with over 2,000 members, all linked to the central U3A Trust. U3As are local self governing voluntary bodies. Together, in mutual local support, we organise and share educational, creative and leisure activities. And we have the time, the wit and the wisdom to enjoy them. Among its over 160 members, Erne U3A's most important people are our Animators. They lead and organise all activities and courses. Examples include Art and Crafts, Book-reading, Languages, Heritage, Singing, Lunches, Trips and Walks. All are set out in Erne U3A Newsletter , posted out about six per year, and U3A magazine three times yearly to members.
Erne U3A members should be aged 50 or more, retired or unemployed. Erne U3A membership fee, valid from July to June, is £15 per year, single, or £25 for a couple.
