Community Technical Aid (CTA) provides professional planning,architectural and development support to projects which benefit disadvantaged and excluded communities. Our architects advise community building and amenity projects, undertake feasibility studies and oversee construction works. Our planners enable communities to prepare community plans and development strategies, advise groups on planning issues and policies affecting their areas and facilitate public consultation in major planning and infrastructure policy initiatives. We also advise groups on community audit, needs analysis, business plan and economic appraisal processes. Free guides to the Planning System and to the Regional Development Strategy (Shaping Our Future) are available for community, voluntary and environmental groups and we provide free advice workshops for local communities on planning issues.
